A Gentleman's Rules
Always walk on the street side of a lady.
If you are going to work, work hard.
Take pride in all that you do.
In issues of preference, others are neither right nor wrong.
If it is necessary, it is possible.
Never demean a man, least of all in front of his girl and or children.
Early is on time and on time is late.
No matter how many are watching, do the right thing.
Answer definitively, but if you are unsure of something, make it known.
It is okay to not know an answer, but only the first time.
Never leave a game until it is over.
Never offer unsolicited advice in another man’s home.
Never promise more than you can deliver.
Walk with a woman, not in front of her.
Sometimes it is neccessry to apologize even if you've done nothing wrong.
If you’ve done something wrong, apologize.
Always carry a pen on you.
Always carry a pocket knife on you.
Do not be cheap, but also do not spend beyond your means.
Never button all three buttons on a three button jacket. Sometimes top, always middle, and never bottom.
Always make sure your shoes are in good condition. People notice your shoes more than you think.
When dressed for business or a formal event your socks should always be over your calf. Never crew or ankle.
The color of you socks should always match your pants, shirt or pattern on your tie.
Your shoes and your belt should always match.
A gentleman should never be drunk in public.
If you are drinking, and a gentleman buys you a drink you must drink at least half, even if you don’t want to.
If a gentleman buys you a drink, you return the favor.
Treat a woman like a woman until she starts acting like a man.
Treat a man like a man until he starts acting like a woman.
Do not allow a lady to wait by herself for her ride. Wait with her.
Always make sure your car is in presentable condition. You should never be ashamed to give someone a ride.
Rules were made to be broken; laws were made to be kept. Be aware of both, always.
